Actor Hudson Meek, best known for Baby Driver, died on Dec. 19 in his home town of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, after falling from a moving car. He was 16. Besides playing the younger version of Ansel Elgort in Baby Driver, Meek appeared in such movies and TV shows as 90 Minutes in Heaven, Providence, MacGyver, Legacies, Found, Genius, and The School Duel. At Vestavia Hills High School, Meek played on the football team, sang in the choir, and outside of school he earned an advanced open-water scuba diving certification. His family wrote in his obituary that “He was confident, convicted in his beliefs, spontaneous, and quick-witted. He never let the facts get in the way of a funny story, and he loved friendly banter.” His older brother Tucker Meek is also an actor.
