Danish actress Jytte Abildstrøm, 90, died in Copenhagen on Jan. 2. She was 90. From the 1960s through last year, she appeared in 50-some movies and TV shows, getting her first big break as the dotty mother in the late ’60s series Sonja fra Saxogade. She also costarred in Score-Kaj, Taxi, Petter og Petter, Nikolaj og Julie, Anna Pihl, Borgen, and The Sommerdahl Murders. Abildstrøm was also active onstage, and in 1970 became the director of Teatret Riddersalen. Among her survivors is her son, Peter Mygind, an actor and writer. On being admitted to hospice late last year with kidney troubles, Abildstrøm said on social media, “Life has been bloody fun.”
