Singer Robbie Pardlo, of the R&B/hip-hop group City High, died on July 17. He was 46, and as of yet no cause of death is known. From 1999-2004, Pardlo, Claudette Ortiz, and Ryan Toby enjoyed hits with such songs as “Caramel” and “What Would You Do?” After City High broke up, Pardlo went on to sing with the quartet First Take, collaborating with such stars as Whitney Houston and Lil Kim. Pardlo, who appeared on Intervention in 2010 to deal with his alcohol problems, was also romantically involved with bandmate Claudette Ortiz, which she said led to the group’s disbanding.
