Thai movie and TV actor Akapan Namatra, 39, died of heart cancer on Sept. 22 (omigawd, you can get heart cancer?! I have just added that to my list of “things I am pretty sure I have and will now obsess over”). Namatra graduated from Bangkok University, and made his TV debut in Ruk Sorn Kaen in 2008, gradually working his way up to leading roles. He made his movie debut in 2013 in Coffee Please, later appearing in two other films. Namatra’s career slowed two years ago, when he took ill. When not acting, he was an enthusiastic diver.
