Anne Russell, 1923 – 2026 (?)

I heard from one of my Death Elves that actress Anne Russell, 103, had just died—but I find other sources that say she died in 2025. In any event, she’s dead, so, “to the Deathmobile!” Russell started her career as a big-band singer, and then appeared on Broadway in the 1960s, in Pal Joey and Flora, the Red Menace; she also was in regional and touring productions of Mame, The Boy Friend, and Hello, Dolly! She worked as a nightclub and Vegas singer, and did TV commercials. Her only movie seems to have been In & Out, though she appeared on TV in The Phil Silvers Show, Car 54, Where Are You?, and the camp all-star TV-movie These Old Broads.
