Britcom star Brian Murphy, 92, died at his home in Kent on Jan. 31. He starred in Man About the House and George & Mildred, which were transformed into Three’s Company and The Ropers in the US. He appeared onstage in Sparrows Can't Sing and Oh, What a Lovely War, and began his film and TV career in 1960. Murphy costarred in the sketch comedy show Not So Much a Programme, More a Way of Life, The Boyfriend, and in the shows The Incredible Mr. Tanner, Lame Ducks, One Foot in the Grave, Brookside, and Last of the Summer Wine. Murphy is survived by his wife (since 1995) actress and writer Linda Regan.
