Bruce French, 1945 – 2025

Character actor Bruce French, 79, died on Feb. 7. The Vietnam War vet appeared early on in the theater, including several Off-Broadway productions. He played numerous character parts on film (Christine, Mr. Mom, Fletch, Murphy’s Romance, Jurassic Park III, Thank You for Smoking) and TV (as Father Lonigan in Passions, and guest spots on The Waltons, Dallas, Family Ties, Hill Street Blues, Moonlighting, Falcon Crest, Cheers, Designing Women, Beverly Hills 90210, The West Wing, Mad Men, Grey’s Anatomy). French is survived by his wife (since 1991), actress Eileen Barnett.
