Christian Juttner, 1964 – 2024

His family has just announced the death on Nov. 29 (from “natural causes”) of former child and teen actor Christian Juttner, 60. Born in Pomona (now I have Beatrice Kay’s “Mention My Name” stuck in my head), he started his career at eight in a Bewitched episode, and spent the ’70s and early ’80s in such shows as Ironside, Medical Center, Wonder Woman, Lou Grant, Alice, and General Hospital. In 1978, he had a sudden spurt of big-screen success, appearing that year in Return from Witch Mountain, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, and The Swarm. He retired from show business—or vice-versa—and went into glassworks and special effects makeup.
