British actor Christopher Benjamin, 90, died on Jan. 15. Benjamin started his career on stage and radio, acting frequently with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His West End vehicles included How the Other Half Loves, A Voyage Round My Father, The Clandestine Marriage, Sweeney Todd, and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui; he also toured, his most frequent role being Falstaff. Benjamin made several movies, but was best known for his TV work. From 1961 through 2021, he appeared in countless TV series and movies, including Z Cars, Secret Agent, The Forsyte Saga, The Prisoner, The Avengers, Upstairs Downstairs, Doctor Who, Crown Court, Yes Prime Minister, and Rumpole of the Bailey. Benjamin is survived by his wife (since 1960), Anna Fox.
