Rock drummer Daniel Williams and music agent Dave Shapiro were killed on May 22 when their small private plane crashed into a San Diego neighborhood (one house and several cars were set on fire, and hundreds evacuated from their homes). Shapiro cofounded the agency Sound Talent Group, and worked with such groups as Sum 41 and Pierce the Veil. He was also a pilot, and was at the controls of the doomed plane. Daniel Williams was the former drummer of the Christian metal-core band The Devil Wears Prada (how did they not get copyright-sued for that name?). Williams recently posted on Instagram, “I'm not as smart as I pretend to be. Yoga is important. Past: drums. Present: senior software architect.”
