David Hekili Kenui Bell

Actor David Hekili Kenui Bell, seen in the just-opened Lilo & Stitch, died on June 15. No one seems to have any idea how old he was or what he died from (at least no one on the internet does). Bell had a role in the constantly promoted film, referred to as “the big Hawaiian dude” or “the shaved ice guy.” The six-foot-five, 475-pound Bell had a bit part in the Hawaii Five-0 reboot, then was hired for a larger role; he also costarred in two episodes of the Magnum P.I. reboot, and did commercials for the Kona Brewing Company. He also played the ukulele and had a nice tenor singing voice. Bell had recently completed a supporting role in The Wrecking Crew (not a remake of the Dean Martin film).
