David W. Duclon, 1950 – 2025

TV writer and producer David W. Duclon, 74, died after a long illness at his home in Tennessee, on Jan. 15. Duclon wrote and/or produced mostly light, fluffy sitcoms, some of them enjoyable (The Jeffersons, Family Matters, Silver Spoons), others crimes against the viewing public (most notoriously Punky Brewster). Duclon began his career as assistant producer on The Odd Couple, working his way up to co-producing Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley.
