Derry Power, 1935 – 2025

Irish actor Derry Power, 90, died on Sept. 5. Power was long associated with the famed Abbey Theatre, and was a regular presence on English and Irish TV (The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, The Larkins, Z-Cars, The XYY Man, Ballykissangel, Fergus’s Wedding, Vikings). Power also played character roles in movies, the best-known of which include Lock Up Your Daughters!, Warlords of the Deep, Educating Rita, My Left Foot, and Far and Away.
