Devin Lee Harjes, 1983 – 2025

Actor Devin Lee Harjes, 41, died of cancer on May 27, just three months after having been diagnosed. The Texas native studied martial arts and boxing, which came in handy when playing Jack Dempsey in Boardwalk Empire. He also appeared—frequently as tough guys—in Daredevil, Gotham, Boyz of Summer, Blue Bloods, Orange is the New Black, and Elementary; most recently, Harjes had a continuing role in Manifest.
