Diego Borella, ca. 1978 – 2025

Assistant director Diego Borella, 47, dropped dead on Aug. 22 of an apparent heart attack in Venice’s Hotel Danieli while filming the Netflix series Emily in Paris (which I will never see, as I already spend a fortune on basic cable, so Netflix can go jump in the lake). According to La Repubblica, Borella was born in Venice and trained in Rome, London and New York; in addition to working on the medical drama DOC - Nelle Tue Mani, “he had dedicated himself to poetry and writing fairy tales and short stories for children.”
