Swedish sex bomb Gunilla Knutson, 84, died in Ystad on Feb. 3. She became famous for a series of late-60s Noxzema shaving cream commercials in which she urged men to “take it off—take it all off” while a male model shaved to the tune of “The Stripper.” They were so successful that Knutson was later teamed with such sports stars as Carl Yazstremski and Joe Namath ("Ladies, want to see Joe Namath get creamed?"). A model and beauty queen (Miss Sweden 1961—imagine the competition!), she later became spokesperson and vice-president of sales for Rose Milk skin cream, and wrote Beauty and Health the Scandinavian Way and Gunilla's Book of Massage. Knutson’s family wrote, “She will be remembered not only for her iconic presence in media but also for the warmth and intelligence she shared with those who knew her.”
