Janie Sell, 1939 – 2026

Musical-comedy actress Janie Sell, 86, died on June 9. Sell appeared on Broadway in Over Here! (winning a Tony), George M, Irene, Pal Joey, I Love my Wife, Happy End, and Moon Over Buffalo, as well as appearing in several Off-Broadway shows. She showed up in a handful of movies and TV shows (Captain Kangaroo, Wives, Side by Side, Starting Fresh, A Good Sport). After leaving the show business, Sell worked her way up as an executive at Young & Rubicam Worldwide.
