Animator Jerry Eisenberg, 87, died on Feb. 12. The son of animator Harvey Eisenberg, Jerry’s career stretched from 1957 through last year, primarily at Warner Bros., Hanna-Barbera, and Ruby-Spears Productions. He worked on such delightful and non-delightful shows as Super Friends, The Jetsons, Huckleberry Hound, Jonny Quest, Josie and the Pussycats, Dastardly and Muttley, Hong Kong Phooey, My Little Pony, Dilbert, and Scooby-Doo. Eisenberg told the Yowp website, “I love cartooning and I have no regrets. I used to think periodically ‘Wow, how fortunate I am to make a good living drawing silly pictures.’ ’Cause, you know, it’s rough out there for most people; not everybody likes what they do.”
