Bianca Castro, who performed as Jiggly Caliente, died on April 27; her family said, “Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg.” She was 44. Jiggly performed on RuPaul's Drag Race in 2011, before she came out as trans. She also acted in Pose, Broad City, Playing House, Janice Gunter Ghost Hunter, and Milkwater, and appeared in several music videos and on Saturday Night Live. She said that “I can’t get surgery because of my heart, I have a bad heart. Surgery is very tricky, very complicated to even think of. I’m content, I feel like I don’t need X, Y and Z done to feel like a woman. Being a woman is what I feel inside, and I’m just living my truth. I’m the woman that I was meant to be. I would be the worst role model in the world because I’m such a flawed individual. Being so flawed makes me scared of saying the wrong thing. I’m always so unfiltered, and so blunt.”
