Actress Kay Peters, 83, died on May 9. She started her career in regional theater and TV commercials, and by 1970 she played Sarah Fredericks in 34 episodes of Days of Our Lives. Peters was also seen in It Takes a Thief, The Bold Ones, Ironside, Little House on the Prairie, CHiPs, and Another World. By the 1980s, Peters began teaching communications skills to “CEOs, scientists, lawyers, doctors, management consultants, investment bankers, and occasionally children of clients' college bound.” She was also on the Board of Directors of Screen Actors Guild, and chaired their Telecommunications Committee. According to her obit, “Kay started each morning in saying: ‘This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,’” which is a far cry from what I say when the alarm clock goes off.
