Lucy Markovic, 1998 – 2025

Australian model Lucy Markovic, 27, died on April 10, after undergoing surgery for an arteriovenous malformation in her brain. She was runner-up on Australia’s Next Top Model in 2015, and went on to walk the runway or pose for ads for Versace, Victoria Beckham, Oscar de la Renta, Bulgari, Givenchy, and Dolce & Gabbana, also appearing on the covers of Vogue and Marie Claire, among others. Going into the hospital, Markovic posted on Instagram, “Full flood of emotions in this time. Life’s a journey and I’m ready for the next chapter.”
