Nick Joseph, ca. 1966 – 2026

British actor Nick Joseph, 60, has died, his family announced on Aug 16. He appeared as an extra in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (as one of the medal bearers) and played several roles on Dr. Who. He also appeared on TV and in the movies in The Spy Who Loved Me, Secret Army, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Blake’s 7, We’ll Meet Again, Galloping Galaxies!, The Manageress, and EastEnders. One of his fans posted, “I attended countless Star Wars conventions as a guest with Nick, all over the world, and he was always warm, friendly and upbeat about life. If anyone deserved the Medal of Yavin, it was Nick! He will be greatly missed by the Star Wars Community.”
