British actor Paul Hugh (“P.H.”) Moriarty, 86, died in London on Feb. 2. Moriarty appeared in such films as Quadrophenia, The Long Good Friday, Outland, Patriot Games, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and the unfortunate Jaws 3D. He also acted in numerous British TV series. The London-born Moriarty worked as a boxer and dock worker before being discovered for a 1978 episode of Law and Order (the earlier British one). An online fan wrote, “Me and my late brother knew him from Millwall. After the game we got talking to PH, what a gentleman. Sat there for a couple of hours. We stayed in contact with him. A really lovely and interesting bloke.”

It's "The Long Good Friday," not the "The Good Long Friday." Brilliant film, worth seeing.
Thanks for Eve's Obits!
