Patrick Muldoon, 1968 – 2026

Actor and producer Patrick Muldoon, 57, died of a heart attack on April 19. Muldoon costarred as Richard Hart on Melrose Place and as Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives; he also played Zander Barcalow in the film Starship Troopers. Muldoon started his career as a model, breaking into TV and movies in the early ’90s. He appeared in countless indie films and Hallmark and Lifetime TV-movies (most recently he was seen in last year’s Double Scoop, on Hallmark). Starting in 2013. Muldoon also turned to producing, working on some two dozen TV-movies and indies. “Any time you can make a living doing something artistic, you're very fortunate,” he said. “There's no finish line. As an actor, you can keep getting better, working with different actors and directors, pushing yourself into more challenging roles.”
