Paul Avery, ca. 1945 – 2026

Actor Paul Avery, 81, and his wife Sheila Avery, died in a fire at their New Jersey home on June 16. Avery had small roles in the films Superman and Stanley, and appeared on TV in All My Children, Soap, Tales from the Darkside, and Three’s Company. His main paychecks came from doing TV commercials—more than 300 of them, including voicing the yellow M&M. A Vietnam veteran, Avery retired from a thing and became a journalist (an equally unsteady career, as I can attest!), and was also “an avid pilot and community volunteer,” according to his family.
