Per Mattsson, 1948 – 2025

Swedish actor Per Mattsson, 77, died on Sept. 11. Mattsson was primarily a stage star, appearing in Swedish theaters in everything from Cabaret and The Threepenny Opera to A Doll’s House and King Lear. He also appeared in more than 50 films and TV series, most notably in a small role in Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander. Mattsson was a regular performer at Stockholm’s Royal Dramatic Theater: “He was an incredibly sensitive and multifaceted actor who performed nearly a hundred roles,” posted director Mattias Andersson.
