Indian actor and comedian Robo Shankar, 46, died on Sept. 18, after years of liver troubles. Named for his signature robot dance, Shankar made his film debut in 2007’s Deepavali. He went on to appear in the Tamil films Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Yaaruda Mahesh, Kappal, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Touring Talkies, and Maari, usually in supporting comic roles. He also continued to work as a stand-up comic, and appeared frequently on TV. His wife Priyanka Shankar is also an actress, as is their daughter Indraja Shankar.
