Samuel French, 1980 – 2025

Actor Samuel French, 45, died of cancer on May 9. French was best known as FBI agent Robinson in Martin Scorsese’s 2023 Killers of the Flower Moon. The Texas native had only appeared in a handful of films and TV series (including The Mark of a Killer, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Pro Bono Watchman) before auditioning for Scorsese. After Flower Moon, French appeared in Cherry Town 2023 and Blood Dried Hands; his last film, Towpath (in which he had a costarring role), is in post-production.
