Wrestler, stuntman and actor Scott L. Schwartz, 65, died on Nov. 26. The Phila. native wrestled under such names as The Ultimate Bad Guy, The Israeli Commando, and Giant David; the 6'10", 303 pound Schwartz wrestled all over the world. By the early 1990s, casting directors took advantage of his theatricality and his threatening physique, and through 2012, he appeared in more than 100 films and TV shows, sometimes as stuntman and sometimes an actor: Three Ocean’s capers (as Bruiser), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Star Trek: Enterprise, Charmed, The Tick, Nash Bridges, Spider-Man, The Young and the Restless, and many others. He also became a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy. “In order to make it in the film business,” Schwartz said, “you have to get the square block into the round hole. It seems difficult, even impossible when you think about it. Some people quit and don't try. If you grind it hard enough and long enough - it will go in. Don't quit.”
