Tom Georgeson, 1937 – 2026

British character actor Tom Georgeson, 88, died on March 18 in London. He was a Liverpool native, and his his nephew, Danny Conway, said, “The whole family has got an artistic streak through them. They're either artists or performers. It started with my grandad, who was into amateur dramatics. He got Tom into it as well.” Georgeson was known for his stage, screen and TV work; onstage, he acted with the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, in such shows as The Kindness of Strangers and We Are Married. He costarred in the TV series Juliet Bravo, Strike It Rich!, The Manageress, Between the Lines, Liverpool 1, Bleak House, and Boys from the Blackstuff; he also did one-offs on numerous other shows. On the big screen, Georgeson was seen in A Fish Called Wanda, Fierce Creatures, No Surrender, Downtime, Swing, and Notes on a Scandal.
