South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, 24, died by suicide on Feb. 16. She began acting as a child (her sisters, Kim A-ron and Kim Ye-ron, are also actresses). Sae-ron became a teen idol in such films as A Brand New Life, The Man from Nowhere, and A Girl at My Door, and in the TV series Listen to My Heart, The Queen's Classroom, and Hi! School-Love On. At 15 she was playing adult roles, starring in the period drama Secret Healer, the thrillers Leverage and The Villagers, the college soap opera Love Playlist, and the fantasy The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim. Her life and career derailed in 2022, when Sae-ron caused a drunk-driving accident in which she crashed into a transformer, cutting off power in the populous in Gangnam District for three hours. That did not end her career, though, and she had recently appeared in the TV series Kiss Sixth Sense and Bloodhounds.
