German writer and actress Peggy Parnass, 97, died on March 12. Parnass was the only one of her immediate family to survive the Holocaust (she hid in Sweden and London). Returning to Germany, she was a legal reporter for the magazine Konkret, and published a book (Prozess) of her work, as well as Kleine Radikale Minderheit (Small Radical Minority); she also made the film On Judges and Other Sympathizers. Her many articles include works on minorities in society, feminism, and being a Jew in post-War Germany. Parnass also acted in a dozen or so movies and TV-movies between 1965-94.
