Joanna Bacon, ca. 1953 – 2025

British actress Joanna Bacon, 72, died on June 14. She started her career as a ballet dancer, and in British and NY theater. From the early ‘90s through last year, Bacon had supporting roles in such movies and TV series as One Foot in the Grave, EastEnders, Berkeley Square, Love Actually, Little Britain, The Bill, Holby City, Him & Her, Prime Suspect: Tennison, Breeders, and Moonflower Murders. When diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of this year, Bacon stated, “I have had a brilliant life. I have been so lucky to do the things I have done and to have met the wonderful people I have met. I have no regrets."
