Tim Pollard, 1964 – 2025

Tim Pollard, the official Robin Hood of Nottingham, died of cancer on June 28. He was 61. An actor, musician, graphic designer, and illustrator, Pollard was involved in historic reenactments, and in 1996 he was . . . elected? . . . the Official Robin Hood of Nottinghamshire (he performed not only in Nottingham, but all over the world). He also appeared as Lord Victor Fleming in the horror films Dracula's Orgy of the Damned, Cult of the Shadow People, and Werewolf Massacre at Hell's Gate, and appeared on TV’s Blue Peter, Blind Date, The Big Breakfast, Moll Flanders, Common As Muck, and Antiques Roadtrip. Pollard’s wife, Sally Pollard, Nottingham’s Maid Marian, also died of cancer in June 2017.
